the bookhouse tortoise

I've been neglecting most things recently, in the quest to write chapter 5 (now handed in), but I was perhaps most guilty about not giving Audrey enough attention. So today I moved her into her new house: it still needs a few things adding to it (the window, the roof), but she seems happy enough with it, if a little chilly for now...

...also, wonderful big Galapagos tortoises on the news at lunchtime in celebration of the Darwin bicentenary. And here's Lonesome George.

I love lonesome george. I keep tabs on his story sometimes, it's my understanding that he produced a batch of eggs recently, which were all infertile.

Also, his wiki entry has a great beginning:
Lonesome George (Spanish: Solitario Jorge)

They should have named him Gorgeous George, that would've helped.

Also, in a bored fit of putting old names into google, i found this:

Firstly, this blog is not being well-maintained. Secondly, another mutual acquaintance has re-started blogging:

Good point, well made Steve.

I've been busy! Thesis is 75-80% done now ... anyway, who is the second blog? I can't work it out.

Apology accepted.

Well, she's little and has spiky hair (maybe, i've not seen her)
