Paris-Roubaix Cyclo 2008: initial impressions
I was going to spend this evening (Monday) writing up the weekend's cycling adventure in France: John and I managed to complete all the cobblestones of l'enfer du Nord, ably supported by a trio of Panicos.
...however, massive overhead power problems along the East Anglian mainline meant it took me five hours to get home from London tonight, so you'll just have to look at the pretty and not-so-pretty pictures for now...
Moreover, for those who were wondering if I was ever going to crash again, I managed two falls on Sunday - one spectacular and one not-so-spectacular (and, indeed, another one simply walking across a bathroom floor in cleats...) - which means I need new handlebars, a new helmet and new skin.
I am also currently incapable of typing with any skill, owing to numb hands from all the cobble-related vibrations. How the hell they race on that, I don't know...
